The word Hatha comes from the words “ha”, translated as sun, and “tha”, translated as moon. The word yoga can be translated as “union” or “to yoke”. The practice of Hatha yoga is a process of purification which improves the mind-body connection by bringing awareness to what is put into the body; whether it be physical or mental.

My goal as a teacher is to help my students strengthen their mind-body connection and to teach them simple meditation, breathing techniques, and yoga postures that help them purify their bodies by releasing deeply held tension which can block the "life force" or "prana".

My practice and teaching has been influenced by many teachers such as Mark Whitwell, Dharma Mittra, Cindy Lee, Sarla Nichols, Shiva Rea, Aadil Palkhivala and more. Life is my most influential teacher which includes all of my experiences and everyone in them.

I am entering a time in which I will be able to enhance the healing and purification that yoga brings by infusing physical therapy into it. Yet, the true and lasting healing is in the realization that God/Brahman is within and around everyone and everything! The practice of yoga, among other things, is ultimately a reminder of this union.
